CUP partners with the Adams 14 School District to help run the Hope Family Resource Center, located in the basement of the school district’s Administration Building at 5291 E. 60th Ave in Commerce City. The Hope Center serves families in the school district who are experiencing a housing crisis or need a little extra help during the month.
Support for families includes clothing for children and adults. Upon each visit to the center, Hope Center volunteers connect with family members during an interview which builds relationship and determines areas of need. Volunteers then share appropriate resources available to the family which could meet their need.
Skills needed for success in life and employment are taught at The Hope Resource Center through Job Readiness Workshops. These workshops include topics such as attitude, motivation, responsibility, anger and stress management, conflict resolution, nonverbal and verbal communication, successful interviewing, money and time management, decision making, setting priorities, balancing home/work/school, and goal setting.
The Hope Resource Center is open on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the Month from 10am-1pm. No appointment necessary to receive services. Summer Closure: May 29th – August 13, 2017.
El Centro Hope está abierto los días 2 y 4 de miércoles de 10 a 13h. No se requiere cita para recibir servicios. Cerrado para el verano del 29 de mayo al 13 de agosto de 2017.
